the camera project

an on-going international non-profit project founded in 2008

'the camera project is an exploration of how children perceive their environment. each participating child was provided with a one-time use camera and asked to document their lives through photography and a written statement.

acting as an online learning tool, this project highlights the beauty of the world that connects us to one another - a beauty which is deep and surpasses the realm of aesthetics. it also serves as a reminder that, despite cultural nuances, we are all so similar – accentuating the importance of experience and human contact.'
