the camera project
'the camera project' is an international non-profit photography & writing project for children founded in 2008 by erin mulvehill
the project is an exploration of how children perceive their environment. each participating child is provided with a one-time use camera and asked to document their lives through photography and a written statement.
acting as an online learning tool, this project highlights the beauty of the world that connects us to one another - a beauty which is deep and surpasses the realm of aesthetics. it also serves as a reminder that, despite cultural nuances, we are all so similar – accentuating the importance of experience and human contact.
